Agency Highlights
• Hinds County Human
Resource Agency -- Project Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2011 - 2012 school
year. Eligible children must be 3, but not yet 5 by September 1st. To
complete an application, contact Hinds County Human Resource Agency at
601.923.3940. All classrooms are internet-ready and are staffed by teachers
with degrees in early childhood education. Transportation is provided to
children at designated Head Start centers. An Early Head Start Program, for
eligible pregnant teens and newborns to age three within Hinds
County, is also available.
Parents of children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. To complete an
application, you must show proof of age, income, and Hinds
County residency. Slots are
limited, so apply now! For more information, contact Hinds County Human

• Trained tax preparers are providing free services to income-eligible
individuals and seniors through April 15th. Call 601-923-3950.
